A boat tour of Barcelona’s historic and bustling port, a guided visit of Antoni Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia Basilica, an excursion to the Picasso Museum — coupled with leisurely breakfasts at local cafes before class — were an incredible opportunity to soak in the rich culture of Spain alongside a demanding academic curriculum. Game On! Middle School History students transformed their studies of the medieval Silk Roads into board games they played with the wider community, taking them on a journey to such far-flung locations as Samarkand and Kashgar. Making Faces Lower School artists learned about the different types of lines they can make with a brush. Students painted zig-zag, wavy, straight and bumpy lines—and invented some of their own. A Night At The Shelter For over 40 years, the Friends Shelter has provided a place to stay and hospitality for up to fourteen unhoused men and women each evening.
